This gorgeous Tea cup & Saucer was made by Hicks & Meigh, c1825. Although better known for their fine Stone China, it has recently been discovered that the company also excelled in Bone China. See Geoffrey Godden's chapter on Hicks & Meigh in "Staffordshire Porcelains".

The cup and saucer are "London shape". The pattern has a Mazarine blue and gilt border with white reserves containing Chinese buildings & plants in iron-red, green & gilt. There's a gilt center ring and gilt shoulder line on the cup, and a gilt leafy band around the cup.

Both cup and saucer are in. excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. Each piece rings when tapped. There is slight wear to inner gilt circle of the saucer.

The base of each piece is marked with Hicks and Meigh's pattern number 569 in red. I have 4 of these cup and saucer sets available. The price shown is for 1 set.
