This large Mata Ortiz pottery olla is amazingly thin-walled and light weight. It was hand-built and painted by Gloria Hernandez, one of the Master Potters featured in the book "The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz".

The piece in in excellent condition, with no cracks, and no chips. It is about 8" high, with a 13" diameter, and a huge 41" circumference.
The mouth diameter is 6". The jar weighs 4 lbs., 6 oz.

The base is inscribed "Gloria Hdez".
