This pretty London shape porcelain tea cup was printed in a very dark blue in the pattern known as "Canton #01", a name assigned by the Transferware Collectors Club. The border pattern is called "Trellis Diaper".

The cup is unmarked, but it identified as made by Stevenson, Alcock & Williams in the wonderful data base of the Transferware Collectors Club. It was made c 1820-26.

The cup is in very good condition. There is wear to the gilding of the inner rim. There are no chips, and no cracks that I can see or feel. However, the cup does not ring when tapped.
