This interesting 8-1/2" plate is an early version of the "Jardinière" pattern. It bears the impressed one line mark: MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA", which was used from 1813-1820.

The Mason's Collectors' Club code for this pattern is OF21a. They note the outline of the two-story Chinese house in the "apple shape" next to the jardinière .

The plate is in very good condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. It rings when tapped. There is heavy wear to the gilding of the border, and there is some wear to the parts of the outer central pattern (see photos).
