This interesting 8-1/2" plate is likely the earliest use of the "Jardiniere" pattern. It bears the impressed one line mark: MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA", which was used from 1813-1820.
It is in very good condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. It rings when tapped. There is heavy wear to the gilding of the border, and there is some wear to the parts of the outer central pattern (see photos).
