This unusual vase shows 4 classical women, each within her own leafy arbor. The leaves have been decorated with silver lustre. The vase is 4-1/2" high, with a 3-1/2" diameter mouth. The ground color is greige (a combination of grey and beige). The applied figures are a light tan.

It was made by Villeroy & Boch of Mettlach. It is marked on the base with an applied pad with the impressed pattern number 10 and a very faint, conjoined VB. This mark was in use from 1852-1873.

The body of the vase is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The vase rings when tapped. However, one of the applied women shows some losses. See final close-up photo. FREE SHIPPING!
