This small (7") plate was made c. 1822-1835 in Staffordshire by the firm of Hicks, Meigh & Johnson. A plate of that size was called a "muffin" during that period.
The plate is in excellent condition, with a crisp gadroon edge. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. It rings nicely when tapped.
It is marked on the back with the Royal Arms, the words "Stone China" and the pattern number "69", all printed in blue.
