This early 9-1/4" Mason's Ironstone Plate is decorated in the "Vase and Rock" pattern. The Mason's Collectors' Club code is: OD4, (the scalloped shape). This plate, with added gilding, was more expensive to produce, and harder to find than other versions of the pattern.

The plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. It rings when tapped.

The back bears the one-line Impressed Mark, MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA. That mark dates the plate as pre-1830.
