This attractive stand was made c 1825-30 by John & William Ridgway to fit the hexagonal teapot unique to this factory. The flowers are beautifully hand painted, and the border of mazarine blue and gold is quite distinctive.

The stand measures 8-1/4" by 7-1/2", The form can be seen on page 98 of Geoffrey A. Godden's "Ridgways Porcelain". It is marked on the back with the Ridgway pattern number 2/1390.

It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. It rings when tapped. There is very little wear to either the gilding or enamel decorations.
