This lovely 10" plate with gadroon rim was made by John & William Ridgway about 1825. The pattern is called "Bandana", and the pattern number, 1306, is hand painted on the back. The pattern features two storks (or cranes) standing, and another bird flying above them.
The pattern is shown in "Godden's Guide to Ironstone Stone and Granite Wares" page 312, plate 242. The blue printed mark on the back reads: "Bandana Stone China JWR".
The plate is in excellent to very good condition, having only a small shallow chip on the back edge, not noticeable from the front. It is shown enlarged in the last photo. There are no other chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. The plate rings when tapped.
