This bright pattern is Spode's 1645. It is a typical "Japan Pattern" in porcelain, with stylized flowers and geometric shapes. The colors are cobalt blue, dark green, pink, and gold.
The tea cup is about 2-1/8" high, the coffee can is 2-1/4" high. The saucer's diameter is 5-3/8". All three pieces are in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. Each piece rings when tapped.
Both the tea cup and the saucer are marked Spode 1645 in red. The coffee can is not marked. Vega Wilkinson dates this pattern 1811 in her book on Spode.
This pattern is so similar to Spode's pattern 967, that the two patterns can be easily combined in a set. Read about the two patterns in the website Spode History.
Note: I have several matching tea cup and saucer sets available here in my shop.
