This large, striking vase was made on the Japanese island of Awaji c 1925-39. It is 10-1/2" high and 8-3/4" wide at the mouth. The interior shows off the crystalline glaze, while the exterior is entirely sgraffito. The striations get wider and deeper toward the small (3-1/4") oval base.
It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. The vase is unmarked. It likely had a paper label at one time.
