This is not the more commonly seen Coalport Finger & Thumb pattern. This earlier version (with the very distinctive Greek Key gilding) can be found on page 87 of Michael Messenger's book "Coalport". He dates it c 1800.
The porcelain teapot stand is about 7-1/4" x 5". It is in excellent condition, with wear only to the rim's gilding and the central stem above the top double leaf. There are no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. It rings when tapped.
We also have available a Coalport Sucrier (Sugar Box) in the same early "Finger and Thumb" pattern.
