This charming copper lustre (or luster) pottery Pepper Pot is decorated with a tan ground with hand painted stylized flowers and leaves in a pinkish lustre.
It is about 4-1/4" high. We often see copper lustre mugs, but this form is quite rare. I date it c. 1820.
Condition? There are several small chips to the turned flange (or collar) at the top of the castor. They are not too obvious because of the underlying dark brown earthenware. Other than that, the condition is fine with no other chips or cracks.
