This pretty Rockingham Porcelain Cup and Saucer Set has sprays of hand painted flowers and a pale blue ground color. The set dates c 1835. The saucer is marked "Rockingham Works Brameld Manufacturers to the King" with the puce Griffin mark. The cup has Rockingham's distinctive 3 spur handle.
Both cup and saucer are in good condition. The cup has an "in-the-making" firing flaw to the handle. The saucer has a shallow chip on a back edge. Both show some gilding wear and crazing. Still, a pretty set that displays well, as you can see.
