This sweet hand painted creamer is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. It is 4-3/4" high. It is not marked.
The shape can be found on page 81, plate 484 of Berthoud's " A Cabinet of Creamers". His suggested maker is Thomas Rose of Anstice, Horton & Rose. But it IS possible that this creamer was made by one of the other Staffordshire potteries. The creamer certainly dates c 1810.
