This attractive 18th C Coffee Cup and Saucer was made by Thomas Turner at his Caughley Works in Shropshire about 1795. Both pieces are in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. Each piece rings when tapped.
The cup shape is shown on page 17, plate 100 of Michael Berthoud's " An Anthology of British Cups. Here is his description: "Coffee Cup, D 2-3/8", Ht. 2-5/8", Caughley, no mark, twenty four vertical flutes and handle with much less pronounced "kick" than in Plate 99." (The previous photo.)
I have two of these sets available. The listed price is for one cup and saucer set.
