This small whimsical creamware cup and saucer set was made in Sweden with imported English clay and imported English potters in the 19th century.
The transferware pattern shows people in 4 different activities. The back of the saucer has a printed mark which shows the pattern name as "KINA" which I think translates roughly to "Chinese". There are also impressed marks showing the anchor and the initials MB. The matching cup is not marked at all.
The cup is a bit over 2-1/4" high. The saucer's diameter is 5-1/4".
Condition? There are no visible chips or cracks. The cup has some roughness on the outside edge which was glazed over, so that was done in the making. On the cup, there is a very light brown area of discoloration between the parasol and the tree. The saucer shows crazing, and lots of (in the making)smudges on the back. Neither piece rings when tapped.
