This cheerful dark blue transferware pattern is known as "Eskimo Child", or 'Eggs in a Basket'. Both pieces are fully marked 'H & S' in underglaze blue, for Hilditch & Son of Lane End, Staffordshire. The set dates 1823-1830.
The cup height is 2-1/8", the saucer's diameter is 5-3/4". Both are in excellent condition. There are no cracks, no chips, and no repairs. Both pieces ring when tapped.
