What a find! This Spode trio was made in their intricate "Dollar Pattern", which is usually pattern 715, with lots of red enamel. This more subdued and elegant variation is Spode pattern 900, with only mazarine blue, grey, and gilding. According to Vega Wilkinson's book on Spode, the two patterns were made within a one year time frame, c.1805 and c.1806.

Each piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and virtually no wear to the gilding. Each piece rings when tapped.

The only caveat is there is a color change in the shade of blue to the coffee can. It is slightly lighter than the other two pieces.

The saucer diameter is 5-1/2". It is marked "Spode 900" in red. The bute shaped tea cup is 2-1/4" high, with a 3-1/8" diameter. It is marked with a circle with a line through it. The coffee can is 2-5/8" high, and marked "900." in red, with a track-like mark, also in red.
