Antique Spode Porcelain Cup & Saucer, English Imari Pattern 1645 , Georgian c. 1811 - image 1 of 7

This bright pattern is Spode's 1645. It is a typical "Japan Pattern" with stylized flowers and geometric shapes, with colors of cobalt blue, dark green, pink, and gold.

The cup is about 2-1/8" high. The saucer's diameter is 5-3/8". Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. The only flaw I see is some wear to the gilding in a 2" area along one edge of the saucer. Both cup and saucer ring when tapped.

Both pieces are marked Spode 1645 in red. Vega Wilkinson dates this pattern 1811 in her book on Spode. The pattern is a later variation of pattern 967. I have 5 of these cup and saucer sets available. (Each saucer shows the same wear to the gilding in the same spot.) The price shown is for one cup and saucer set.

Note: I also have several trios available in this pattern.
