This attractive large soup plate(10-1/4") is decorated with a brown transferware design called "Hollow Rock Floral" or Pattern 216 by the Transferware Collectors Club. The many colors include an underglaze cobalt blue, and overglaze red/orange, green, and pink enamels.
On the back it is marked with a brown printed crown and "Real Stone China" in a banner. It also has the date impressed: 9/92 for Sept. of 1892. Also impressed is a crown and "ASHWORTH". The pattern number 4/261 is hand painted.
The soup plate is in very good condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no staining, and no repairs. There is overall crazing, which is more obvious on the back. The piece rings when tapped.
