This lovely early dish was very hard to photograph because it's so heavily gilded. The overall pattern is a gold weed or twig motif, with a central hand painted landscape scene. It has scalloped edges and a single pierced handle.

The dish is 8-3/4" x 8". It is marked only with Grainger's pattern number 1169x on the back in gold. This pattern number dates the piece c. 1835. For a photograph of this shape, see plate 67 of the Sandons' "Grainger's Worcester Porcelain".

The condition is excellent. There is no wear to the gilding. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is the usual crazing seen on wares of this type. The dish rings when tapped.
