American Pastel Still Life w/Fruit, late 19th C, signed in the upper right hand corner, but illegible. Photographing art work behind glass is not for the amateur. I apologize for all the reflections, but tried to give you enough different views so that you have a good idea of the painting. All photos were taken in indirect lighting and without flash.
This pastel dates late 19th C, when there was a resurgence of the pastel medium in this country. It has been re-framed.
The painting is 18-3/4" x 16" framed, and 16 x 13 sight size. I believe the signature starts with Rube...?. Both painting and frame are in excellent condition.
