This very pretty Old Paris Vase (now a lamp) has a hand painted scene of one young woman presenting a basket of flowers to another. The ground color is mint green. The base is not signed. I date the vase c. 1850.
The vase alone stands 10" high. It has been fitted as a lamp.
The condition? The front of the vase is excellent. No chips or cracks, but slight wear to the gilding. On the back of the vase are some small chips at the neck, and a larger chip at the base. These, of course, would not be seen if the lamp is placed with its back to a wall. It does make a gorgeous lamp!
Please excuse the flares of light on the various photos.
