This attractive 19th century F & R Pratt Pottery Plate has a light pink ground surrounded by ochre borders. The pattern name "The Poultry Woman" is the one listed in the Transferware Collectors Club database.

The plate has a 7-1/4" diameter. It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. It rings when tapped. There are a few light utensil marks which are not distracting.

The plate is unsigned, with no marks at all on the back. It is circa 1880 or earlier. It was made by F. & R. Pratt & Co., Fenton Potteries, Staffordshire, and uses their standard "123" pattern border.
