This handsome walnut hand made box-style yarn winder with removable bobbin is about 13" high and 14" long.
It has been suggested that it is a "Lazy Kate", used after spinning for plying yarn, but it does not look like other Lazy Kate's I have seen.
The large bobbin is easy to remove from the spindle, and turns easily when on the spindle. As you can see, the "box" is really more of a tray with sides all around. The tray is 9" wide and 14" long
The entire piece is made of walnut. The shelf has a few round headed nails showing. The condition is excellent, with only 1 small chip off one of the 4 feet.
