Unlike most Wave Crest biscuit or cracker jars, this one was made without the commonly found bail handle. The silver plated fitting and lid with bird finial are original to the piece. The decoration is a transfer of wild roses with dots of white hand enameling on the leaves. The jar is unmarked, and the silver fitting is unmarked.
The height of the jar itself is 5-1/2". The lid and finial take the total height up to 8". The diameter of the top is 4-5/8". The diameter of the ground base is 3-3/4".
The condition is excellent. There are no chips or cracks to the glass. The transfer of wild roses is not worn. The silver does not need to be re-plated.
