This wonderful Victorian ring features a group of hand carved onyx flower cameos. The cameos are enhanced by four small pearls. It dates from the mid 1800s and the hallmark indicates the gold to be 15ct and the city of origin to be Birmingham (partially illegible).
Although the ring is in fine antique condition, there are two issues to mention. One is the need for a good gentle cleaning which will be done by our excellent jeweler before it is sent to the new owner. The other issue is a bit of wear to one of the pearls and some very miner wear to the cameos considering the age and wear. The pearl could be replaced, but we prefer to leave it all in its original condition.
The ring will fit a size 7 finger and weighs 2.1 grams. It could be re-sized within reason. A dealer friend comments that we seem to be drawn to this type of early jewelry. Hopefully, our Ruby Lane visitors will be as well.
