This delightful ring dates from the Georgian Regency Period. It features a most unusual fancy hand chased 14K gold mounting. The central element is made up of a foil backed black dot oval rock crystal stone and beautiful natural fine quality turquoise cabochon stones that are set around the rock crystal center.
There are no date or signature markings. We have had the mounting acid tested and guarantee it is 14K gold. It is a strong 14K and may be closer to 15K. It came to us from outside the US.
The ring will fit a size 7 1/2 finger and could be re-sized with care by a jeweler who works with antique jewelry. The underside of the central element shows a closed back. The ring weighs 1.7 grams and hugs the finger. The top face measures 1 cm high by 8cm in width. There are 11 turquoise stones that measure approximately 1.5mm by 2mm. They are a beautiful color and are well matched.
We search for special Georgian rings and this is a great unusual example. The antique condition is very fine.
