It's very easy to fall for this charming cameo featuring beautifully carved cherubs at play. What a wonderful start to a new collection. It features two cherubs pulling a third in its rolling pram.

The overall width of the brooch is 2 inches and it measures 1 3/8 inch top to bottom. An 800 mark in the silver frame appears at the reverse bottom. A safety chain is attached at the top reverse of the frame. Beautiful fillagree encircles the cameo. The silver flowers at each side are fitted with tiny seed pearls. The brooch weighs 10.1 grams.

Close examination of these chunky cherubs shows beautiful carving--especially the faces and wings of each figure. The "T" pin and "C" clasp are in excellent working order. The reverse of the shell cameo appears to have some markings. We cannot tell if it is an attempt at a signature. (only a guess).
