The combination of diamonds and sapphires make this ring a stunning example of Art Deco Design. The ring is especially handsome in the way it hugs the finger and will compliment other rings you have on your hand.
We believe the ring originated in France although it is not marked as such. The white gold mounting is marked 18K. The three central stones are French cut diamonds weighing approximately three-fourths carat. It is an approximation because removing the diamonds from the setting might cause damage. The diamonds are held in engraved collet mountings. The outer rim of the ring top features single cut diamonds. The center rim is made up of tiny single cut sapphires.
The ring fits a size 5 finger but could be re-sized by a competent jeweler. The engraving on the shank leads us to believe it may have been re-sized at another time. It weighs 3.06 grams. The top measures 5/8 inch side to side and 3/5 inch top to bottom. It sits flat on the finger as seen in the model's photo.
Today's fashion for engagement and wedding rings show more and more mixed gems rather than diamonds alone. This would be a perfect example. It is in fine condition.
