There appears to be a never-ending discovery of the finest Scottish agate jewelry. Aside from the beautiful inlay of striking agates, there is a three-dimensional unusual design featuring a genuine citrene. The silver work is superb--outstanding creativity.
The brooch is unmarked. This is not unusual for Scottish creations. It measures 2 inches in diameter and weighs 18.7 grams. The "T" pin and "C" clasp appear to be original. The pin is steel. The only flaw we see appears to be a bit of glue holding the citrene. It may be from the original workmanship and does not affect the piece in any way.
The central design is unique. It makes the brooch a rare attraction for any collector of Scottish jewelry. With fall and winter in the air it makes it makes a fashion statement for all the fall colors.
