There are 40 points of larger diamonds and 14 rose cut diamonds in one heart. Four rubies encircle the brooch and 16 tiny rubies grace the second heart. Four sapphires and three pearls complete the circle. five graduated pearls crown the double hearts.
The brooch measures 1 1/5 inch in diameter and weighs 7.9 grams. The pin is steel and the clasp has a safety. We could not find any identifying marks but believe the piece is American.
