Here we see a piece that is an excellent example of the period. It features two beautifully colored and lively peridots, two tiny rubies and a multitude of several sized seed pearls. The gold is 9 K and a distinct mark appears on the reverse. The piece is of English origin.
The pendant (lavalier) measures a total of 19 inches in length. The lower portion is 2 inches in length by 1 inch at its widest. It is in completely original condition. Necklaces such as this are often featured in publications showing Art Nouveau . It certainly fits that category.
