A favorite design used by many jewelry designers and manufacturers during the Deco period included a central stone surrounded by complimentary enamel. This one is particularly charming because of the color combination. The citrine is especially bright and the black and white enamel design enhances the color of the stone. The 14K shank has a pierced design which reminds us of the filigree frequently seen in rings of the 1920s. The shoulders of the shank are pierced as well. The ring size is 5 ½ but could be enlarged or made smaller by a competent jeweler without damaging the enamel. The central element rises ¼ inch from the finger. It measures 5/8 inches north to south and ½ inches east and west. The piece is in fine condition.
