This doll is called Daisy's sister because she has all the traits of an original sought after Handwerck "Daisy" with exception to one small detail.... her eyelashes! She has diagonally painted upper and lower lashes. The Ladies Home Journal Daisy had downward painted lower lashes and real upper lashes. Daisy dolls are seldom seen on the market and go fast into collectors hands! Here is your chance to get a "Daisy" sister for about 1/2 the cost and she is just as beautiful!
Her bisque socket head is free from all damage or restorations. Incised Germany, Heinrich Handwerck, Simon & Halbig 1. Blue glass sleep eyes, beautiful porcelain white teeth, original human hair wig, pink ribbons and pate. Her composition body is original to her and generally excellent with age related wear. Standing 18" tall marked Heinrich Handwerck Germany on the side.
She is dressed in a darling antique pink gingham dress and antique pantaloons. Her black leather shoes and white socks are older and a bit big on her but look nice with her outfit. To complete her outfit is her straw bonnet adorned with pink ribbon and flowers.
You will love her. She's a doll :)
