Gorham Match Safes is a book written by Neil Shapiro & George Sparacio. It is published by the International Match Safe Association.

It is an attempt to record all the known Gorham match safes in public, private and institutional collections as well as all of the archival images in the Gorham Archives in the John Hay library at Brown University.

There are over 1,300 different Gorham match safes listed, with images, and complete data records both in print and in digital formats. The book has 230 pages, 100 pages of color images, and the included CD has 1,500 fully detailed cost records and images.

The first recorded Gorham - made match safe was in 1855, the last in 1923. In between those years Gorham led the world in making match safes in various materials, motifs and designs. Their match safe output echoed the technological innovations, cultural mores, social movements, and economic shifts in the Western world throughout those 68 years, as well as the newest movements in silver work.

This book and CD are new. It is being sold on behalf of IMSA and all monies from the sale goes to them.
