I specialize in antique match safes/vestas.
This is a 1886 mixed metal match safe with two sterling birds in flight applied to brass on one side, the reverse is plain. One side of the bezel is marked "Gorham Co." (Providence, RI) and the other side has manufacturing number "Y99" and the date mark for 1886. Its 2 x 1 inch with a striker to the bottom. The match safe is in excellent condition with a strong lid spring. There is a small dent in the striker area.
