I specialize in antique match safes/vestas.
This is a c. 1900 match safe featuring a center design of cupid playing a musical instrument surrounded by a foliate design, the reverse is plain. The bezel is signed "sterling", "39" and the maker's mark for Wm. Kerr & Co., Newark, NJ. The interior is gold gilded. Its 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches with a striker to the bottom. The match safe is in excellent condition with a strong lid spring.
