I specialize in antique match safes/vestas.
This is a c. 1900 match safe featuring an Art Nouveau female face with a flower in her hair on one side, the reverse has a floral design with a center cartouche. The bezel is signed "sterling", "844" and the maker's mark for Hayden Mfg. Co., Newark, NJ. The interior is gold gilded and its 2 5/8 x 1 5/8 inches with a striker to the bottom edge. The match safe is in excellent condition with a strong lid spring.
