Maidens in a flower garden motif match safe, sterling by F. S. Gilbert, c. 1900

This is a c. 1900 match safe featuring a scene of three maidens in a flower garden, one picking flowers, another holding a basket of flowers and looking very admiringly at another maiden on one side, the reverse is plain. The bezel is signed "Sterling" plus the maker's mark for F. S. Gilbert, North Attleboro, MA. The interior is gold gilded. Its 2 3/8 x 1 3/4 inches with a striker to the bottom. The match safe is in excellent condition with a strong lid spring. There is a tiny pinhead ding on the back.
