I specialize in antique match safes/vestas.
This is a c. 1900 match safe featuring men bowling and several bowling pins on the lid surrounded by a fancy design. The reverse has the same fancy design with the bowling motif replaced by a cartouche area. The bezel is marked "Sterling" and the maker's mark for F. S. Gilbert, North Attleboro, MA. Its 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches with a striker to the bottom. The match safe is in very good condition with a strong lid spring, it has a few small edge dents.
