This is a c. 1900 match safe with an Art Nouveau motif featuring the image of a young girl with doves and a foliate edge design, both sides the same. The top of the lid is engraved "P. A. Powers" and the bezel is marked "sterling", "2076" plus the Foster & Bailey, Providence, RI mark. Its approximately 2 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches with a striker to the bottom. Excellent condition with a strong lid spring, has a small dent on the top corner of the lid and bottom corner near the striker, see photos.
