This is a 1900 match safe with a scroll design on one side and center cartouche area, the reverse is plain with a monogram and contoured. The bezel is marked "Sterling925Fine" and the maker's marks for Unger Bros., Newark NJ. The interior is gold gilded. Its listed in Unger's 1904 trade catalog as item number 2501. Its approximately 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches with a striker to the bottom. Excellent condition with a strong lid spring, has a couple of minor dents on the back.
