This is a c. 1905 match safe featuring a seldom scene image of an attractive young lady on one side, the reverse is designed to accommodate advertising. The match safe was as a salesman's sample and made by Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, NJ. The bottom has a guillotine type cigar cutter. Its approximately 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches with a striker on top of the lid. It has a celluloid wrapped over a metal body with nickel plated ends. Condition is excellent with a strong lid spring.
