This is a c. 1890 match safe with a mother-of-pearl top that has an engraved figure of a fisherman walking along the beach. The body of the match safe is brass with a spring lid. Its approximately 1 7/8 x 1 3/8 inches with the striker to the front edge. Very good condition with a strong lid spring, has some light wear and a few small pin-head dings.
