Gorgeous porcelain Royal Rudolstadt Prussia hand painted floral creamer and sugar (with lid) set.
Each piece is painted on both sides with a lush grouping of roses and other flowers in graduated shades of pink, violet and white with some pastel blue as accent shading. The colors are vibrant and one can even see the paint strokes on some of the flowers. The pieces have gold detail including the handles and a delicate gold band and gold rim with an amazing art deco or nouveau pattern including 2 black dots.
The result is charming and elegant.
The stamped mark in green is a crown over "B" in a shield with "Prussia" above the crown and "Royal Rudolstadt" underneath the shield. The mark identifies it as Royal Rudolstadt of Prussia from Beyer & Bock, a porcelain decorating company started in 1890 in Volkstedt, Thuringia, Prussia. This mark is a standard inter/export mark of Beyer & Bock from between 1905 and 1931. The versions with "Prussia", "Royal Rudolstadt" were for export to the United States.
