A rare little jointed 12" mohair bear by Heinrich Muller, who left Bing and started Schuco with Heinrich Schreyer about 1912. They both worked for Bing until that time. It retains about 50-60% of the short gold mohair. The eyes are glass. Pawpads have been neatly replaced with wool. His nose and mouth are stitched with black floss. He wears a cute wool suit and a white shirt with a red wool tam-0 -shanter hat.
Page 77 of Ken Yenke's Teddy Bear Treasury, volume 1, gives an account of this rare bear, marking a time in German teddy bear history.
For the collector of rare bears, this one is charming.
