An adorable caramel color mohair 1905 Strunz German teddy bear with boot button eyes and 5 claw stitching, 12" tall.
His face is wonderful, with so much expression. One felt paw pad is replaced, but well matched. There is a little hole in one foot pad where the black felt underneath shows. His pretty caramel color mohair is about 85-90% remaining. There is a little spot on the back of his head that is bare. Otherwise, the mohair has good coverage with some overall thinning and wear on the edges and seams. He has black boot button eyes and a black stitched nose over inset fabric, 5 black claw stitches on each paw or foot. His body is firmly stuffed, and he retains good form. All of the joints work well. He has wonderful long arms and a great profile. This is an extremely rare early German bear from 1905-6 in excellent condition.
